Cordy E. Maness

Cordy E. Maness died Wednesday night after suffering a stroke several weeks ago.

he was born at Greenwood Prairie, August 12, 1873. On April 1, 1900 he married Ellen M. Lukenbill, who died 13 years ago.

Mr. Maness is survived by the following children: Customer Maness of Heppner, Ore.; Mrs. Harold Flynn of South Haven; Sgt. Frances Aanonson, Wright field, Dayton, Ohio; S/Sgt Arthur Maness, serving with the Fifth army; Sally Moran, St. Paul, and Lt. Commander Howard Maness, somewhere in the Pacific. There are 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mr. Maness was for many years a member of the Odd Fellows.

The body will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Flynn, five miles southwest of Clearwater, where he has made his home for the past 13 years. The funeral will be held from the Luke's church in Clearwater Saturday at 10 a.m.
