The service will be at 11 a.m. CDT Saturday at Zion Fair Missionary Baptist Church in Port St. Joe, with burial at Crawford Cemetery in Crawfordville. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT Friday at Strong & Jones Funeral Home (850-224-2139) and from 10 a.m. CDT until the service Saturday at the church.
He was born in Willacoochee, Ga., and lived in Port St. Joe for several years before moving to Tallahassee in November 2003.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Zion Fair Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Antoinette Adams of Tallahassee and Letha Inez Matthews and Villette Bryant, both of Seattle, Wash.; a brother-in-law, Fred Johnson of Crawfordville; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
