PINNACLE, NC ~ Mrs. Emma Alene Abbott Wright, age 85, of Pinnacle, widow of the late Troy Wilson Wright, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Walnut Cove Health Care Center. Mrs. Wright was born in Chatham County on October 27, 1924 to the late Roger and Nancy Wilson Abbott. Mrs. Wright worked and retired from Amos & Smith Hosiery and was a member of Mt Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wright is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannette (Edward) Smith of Pinnacle, Rogene Furches of Kernersville and Linda (Bob) Maye of Morganton, NC; six grandchildren, Mark Harris, Pamela Kincaid, Jennifer Simpson, James Spillman, Lynn Adams and Michael Pettus; ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George Burton officiating with interment to follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain is assisting the Wright family.
