Pocatello - Iras Kathryn Ann Lewis, 83, of Pocatello passed away at her home on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.

She was born May 24, 1929 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho to William and Ada Nelson Williams. She spent her early years in Rockland, Idaho and graduated form Rockland High School.

She married Howard E. Selcho in 1947, then married Glenn Ackerman in 1949, then married Donald L. Lewis in 1980. She moved around the country before settling and spending most of her life in Pocatello, Idaho.

She loved gardening and had a beautiful vegetable and flower garden. She also loved knitting and crocheting and was an excellent seamstress.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served her Heavenly Father in many different callings. Kathryn was a very loving, giving, kind, and caring person. She will be dearly missed by her family and her dog, "Baby".

She is survived by her husband Donald L. Lewis; a son, Nicholas (Nancy) Ackerman, Morgan Hills, CA; daughters, Sandra Ackerman, Deborah Ackerman and Christine Ackerman, all of Pocatello; stepdaughters, Cori (Russell) Yowell, Winnemucca, NV, and Leslee Dopita, Pocatello, Idaho; a brother, Robert Jones, Meridian, Idaho; a sister, Barbara Heitz, Stevensville, MT; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and one great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, LeAnn Whitehair and a son, William Ackerman

The family would like to thank and express their appreciation to the staff of Idaho Home Health and Hospice and Dr. Michael Francisco for their loving care they provided to Kathryn.

In Lieu of flowers Kathryn wishes to have donations made to the American Cancer Society in her name.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland Third Ward Chapel, (Butte & Hiskey) with Bishop Ted Schow officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rockland, Idaho on Thursday September 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
