Hixon Jr. of Lake Charles, La., and Edward C. Abell, Jr., of Lafayette, La., son of Mamie Buie Wombel of Opelousas, La. and the late Edward C. Abell; brother of Mrs. Evelyn Norman of Opelousas, La., and George Frank Purvis of New Orleans, La.; also survived by 4 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Services from the uptown chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 4127 S. Claiborne Ave. on Friday Morning, May 4, 1973 at 10:00 o'clock.
Remains will be taken to Opelousas, La. for interment in Bellevue Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation on Thursday evening between 7 and 10 o'clock.
