Edward Charles Abell on Wednesday afternoon, May 2, 1973, at 5:30 o'clock; husband of Ara Dorman; father of Mrs. Ann Abell Daniels of Morgan City, La., Mrs. Edley M. Hixon Jr. of Lake Charles, La., and Edward C. Abell, Jr., of Lafayette, La., son of Mamie Buie Wombel of Opelousas, La. and the late Edward C. Abell; brother of Mrs. Evelyn Norman of Opelousas, La., and George Frank Purvis of New Orleans, La.; also survived by 4 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.

Services from the uptown chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 4127 S. Claiborne Ave. on Friday Morning, May 4, 1973 at 10:00 o'clock.

Remains will be taken to Opelousas, La. for interment in Bellevue Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation on Thursday evening between 7 and 10 o'clock.
