CHICOPEE -- Lucy J. (Stone) Abar , 89, formerly of 132 E. Main St., died Tuesday (11-21-00) at the Willimansett Nursing Home.
Born in Whately, Dec. 25, 1910, she was the daughter of Michael and Christine (Androszewicz) Stone.
Abar worked for the former F.W. Sickles Co. for 13 years. Previously, she had been employed by Milton Bradley Co., East Longmeadow.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.
Her husband, Harold N. Abar, died in 1980.
Survivors include two sons, William of Granby and Henry of Gardner; a brother, John Stone of Gardner; two sisters, Ann McNerny of Buzzards Bay and Christine LeBlanc of Idaho; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 9 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in West Street Cemetery, Granby.
