Mrs. Bertha Lee Barrett Berry, daughter of the late Mr. Euel Christopher Barrett and the late Mrs. Nancy Ray James Barrett, was born 17 To 1899 in Metcalfe Co., Ky. and departed this life at 4:15 pm Thurs. 9 Jun 1983 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg, Ky. She was 83 years, 7 months and 13 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Rev. Abraham Berry, who preceded her in death. To this union were born 3 sons and 1 daughter: Mr. Ralph Berry and Mr. Harold Berry, both of Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Fannola Berry Acree, Greensburg, Ky., and Mr. John E. Berry, who preceded his mother in death. Mrs. Berry is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.
The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 10 am Sat. 11 Jun 1983 with burial in the Maple Hill Cem. Revs. George Price and Bill Arnold officiated. Pallbearers were Vernon Berry, Raymond Berry, Rev. Gleason Bloyd, Howard Curry, Harland Curry, and Bobby McKinney.
