Allene Lisle passed from this life into eternity with God, Monday, December 27, 2010. She was born in Woodward, Oklahoma, on March 6, 1935 to school teachers, Allen and Anna Aaron. She began school in Quinlin, OK, where her mother was her first grade teacher. During WWII, the family lived in Wichita and Plainview, KS. The family eventually returned to Woodward County, first in Tangier, then Buffalo, where Allene graduated high school in 1952. She attended Phillip's University in Enid, where she studied voice with Inez Silberg. She enjoyed music and was a very talented singer. She came to Oklahoma City and attended Draughon's Business College. After graduating she worked for the State Department of Education for several years. Allene worked as a secretary for the Oklahoma State Department of Health in the Health Facility Services office. She retired in 2007 after 45 years of service. She loved her job and the people she worked with. She also worked evenings at the State Department of Agriculture as a telephone enumerator. She worked there for 20 years and received many awards. Allene was involved musically in her community. She was soprano soloist for Oklahoma City's First Christian Church in the 50's. She was a member of OKC Sweet Adeline's. She was a proud member of OKC Master Chorale during the 1970's. She taught music and sang in the choir at Northwest Christian Church. Allene is preceded in death by John S. Lisle. She is survived by two sons: Andy Lisle and Matthew Lisle; and daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Huskey; two grandchildren: Chris and Michael Huskey; brothers and wives: Fred and Marilyn Aaron and Dr. Frank and Kathy Aaron; nieces and nephews and spouses: Thomas Allen Aaron & Gina Choi, Michelle & Doug McAffery, Julie & John McNair, Brad & Holly Aaron; great- nieces and nephews: Austin and Aaron McNair, Megan & Aaron McAffery and Avalon Aaron. Allene was loved by everyone that knew her. She was a very thoughtful and caring person and a loyal friend. Allene enjoyed going to the movies and spending time with family and friends. Because of her faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ, we know she is sharing in God's promise. She will be greatly missed. Services will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service on Monday, January 3, 2011, at 1:00pm, at Del City Christian Church.
