Alberta Mae Abbott, 84 of Stanfill passed away Tuesday Oct. 2, 2012 at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation.
Alberta was born January 8, 1928 to the late Simon & Lura Ellis Coil. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Pansy Baptist Church.
Besides her parents she is preceded in by her husband, Roy Abbott, Sr. her brothers, Leslie, Kenney, and James Coil; her sisters, Audrey Richardson and Mildred Blyth.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Diane) Roos of Illinois, Jerry (Polly) Abbott of Oklahoma, Brenda (Eddie) Huckleby of Harlan, Charlie (Jeanene) Abbott of Harlan, Roy (Janet) Abbott, Jr. of South Carolina; grandchildren, April (Terrell) Wilson, Lori (Patrick) Baker, Chuck (Shauntae) Abbott, Jill Caldwell, Amy Bohrer, Traci (Cameron) Lee; 10 great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Friday Oct. 5, 2012 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday Oct. 5, 2012 at 12:30 pm in the chapel of Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY.
Burial will then follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.
