Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Houseman Funeral Home in Clear Lake, SD with Rev. Hans Sacrison officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake, SD. Casket bearers are Carroll Aamold, Chris Aamold, James Aamold, Matt Aamold and Joe Landon.
Hazel Dorothy Anderson was born October 24, 1921 in Revillo, SD to Herman and Ella (Wittnebel) Beutler where she was raised and graduated from Revillo High School.
On July 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Burton Anderson in Marietta, MN. They spent most of their married life in Deuel County, SD.
In 1986, Burton and Hazel moved to Cheyenne, WY and in 1995 they moved to Grand Junction, CO where Burton passed away on January 26, 1995.
Despite the fact that she was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2000, the Lord granted her an independent life, free of pain and suffering for eleven years. Dorothy passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Grand Junction, CO at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 19 days.
She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. She was a housewife and mother. She loved to cook and play pinochle. She especially enjoyed seeing her great grand children.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carol Jean Aamold (Carroll), Grand Junction, CO; three grandsons: Chris (Lori), James (Shelly), Matt (special friend Shawnna), Joe Landon; three great grandchildren: Madison Aamold, Megan Aamold, Hayden Aamold, and one little boy to be born in December.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Burton; parents and sister, June Hamon and all of her brothers and sisters-in-law.
