Hattie M. Aiken, a native of South Carolina, died Monday, 26 August 1957, at Greenwood, Mississippi, aged eighty-six years. "Miss Hattie," as she was known by her friends, had lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for twenty-eight years, where she had "made her home…with a sister, Mrs. F. E. Bowman." Services on Wednesday, 27 August 1957, at Foster Funeral Home in Natchez were followed by interment at the Natchez City Cemetery. Hattie was survived by her sister, Mrs. Bowman, and "numerous nieces and nephews, including Clarence Montgomery and Paul Bowman of Baton Rouge, Levere Montgomery of New Orleans, Eric Montgomery of Fort Worth, Charles Bowman of Greenwood and Mrs. J.
