Brother Sim was a dedicated member of First Pentecostal Church, Jonesville for the past thirty one years. He was a loyal employee of the Town of Jonesville for 56 years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Hattie and Jake Nichols; the love of his life, Bobbie Duck Nichols; daughter, Janice Skinner; grandsons, Eric Brooks and Hunter Bryan; sisters, Othe Nugent, Iola Nichols, Viola Husbands and Lannie Whatley.
He is survived by two daughters, Judy Adams and husband Leland of Wildsville; Joy Bryan and husband Joe of Thibodeaux, LA; and one son, Jeffery Nichols and wife Charlene of Livingston, TX; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Leland Adams, Jr., Clint Nichols, Jake Nichols, Tyler Bryan, Kyle Holoman and nephew, David Jernigan. Honorary pallbearers will be grandson, Josh Skinner and close friend, Joseph "Sonny" Davis.
