Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by his parents, Evan C. and Dorothy Margret Abbott, and two sisters, Dolly Hope and Edith Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Bettye Gene Wilson Abbott; one daughter, of Henderson; one son, of Geneva; one sister, Sue Howell of Henderson; two brothers, four grandchildren two great-grandchildren,
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Ted Burke will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
