James Harvey was a 49'er in the California GoldRush circa 1849. Made his fortune, returned to Kentucky via Isthmus of Panama. Moved family from Kentucky to Southeast Dallas County, near Lancaster, TX in 1857. Bought 200 Acres from his Father-In-Law..Thomas Highsmith Harris, in Southeast Dallas County. Later expanded his holdings. He had 12 children with **Sarah Alcina Harris. **buried here also.
James H. and Sarah Alcina Harris Taylor were Oscar Matlock Floyd's Great Aunt and Uncle. My Mother's 3X Great Aunt and Uncle.
