I live in the great state of Texas, and have family & friends from the Atlantic Shores to the Pacific Ocean as it rolls up the Hawaiian Islands, and many points between. I have had the good fortune to be the daughter of a US Navy Submariner, and thus experienced some of the best and the worst of living places in this beautiful country... My Mom was the best Girl Scout leader, ever, yet was deeply conflicted as a mother. I am the ex wife of an idiot, and the widow of a man who was possibly my soul-mate in a different lifetime, definately not in this one... I am a mother of two, David & Victoria, an "other-mother" to a handful more, and doting grandma to an incredible guy named Austin. I have nine tatoos, one cat & mourn the passing of another far more than I mourn the passing of my mother. I am addicted to my laptop & cherry-cheesecake. I'm currently reading the autobiography of the Dalai Lama. I am a survivor of breast cancer and a victim of pulmonary fibrosis - it sucks to be me, but I don't complain, I've had a great life and am making the best of what I have left to live!!
