Bio
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, I currently live in nearby Shelby Co., Kentucky, in the area where Jefferson, Shelby, and Oldham Co. converge. I have been actively pursuing my ancestry for the last 30+ years, with the advent of Family Tree maker and then ancestry.com. I have been the family historian for many more years. My interest increases each year and now that I have retired, I hope to be able to focus on more in depth research of my family tree. I doubt that once I am gone, there will be anyone "waiting in the wings" to take over for me on my tree, so I will work on it until I am no longer able to do so...hopefully many years from now!
I have found that both sides of my family have lived in Kentucky for over two centuries, with a predominately English, Scottish, Irish & Norwegian heritage (when I am able to find records available from the 18th century to document arrival in the USA). My ancestry DNA testing shows 43% England & Northwestern Europe, 30% Scotland, 10% Ireland, 9% Norway, 4% Wales, and 4% Germanic Europe. As testing increases, the percentages changes.

Good luck and good hunting!!
