Bio

I was born and raised in Berkeley County, South Carolina. My family has lived here since the Colonial period. I love local history and genealogy. My hobbies include using photography to preserve and remember our history. I am the administrator for the Facebook group "Berkeley County Roots".

I am a former member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. I am on the Board of Directors for the St. James, Goose Creek Chapel of Ease Historical Site in Berkeley County. The organization is charged with the preservation and restoration of the site. Its mission is also to share the story of its people and their importance in the American Story. This project was started in 2007 by the CSS David Chapter of the UDC, and has developed into a non-profit organization with 501 c(3) status. Please learn more by visiting our web site www.chapelofease.org.

If you see any errors in memorials that I have added, or if you would like for me to transfer management of any to you, please let me know.
