VALENTINE PARTY

Last Thursday evening Miss Dorothy Walker entertained a number of friends in her home with a Valentine party.

The evening was spent playing Valentine games. Two ocntests(sic) were held, the prizes being awarded to Everett Lee and Lucille Miler(sic).

The color scheme was carried out in red and white, and at a late hour dainty refreshments were served to the following: Emmagene and Gwendolean Ingram, Dorothy Cannon, Frances Lansdon, Lois Haney, Lucille Miller, Nellie Gray, Cora Jane McDonald, Arthur McFarland, Allen Scott, Jack Haney, Monroe Davis, Everett Lee, Howard Lansdon, John Edward Gwinn, L. W. and Isaac Thompson.

CAR WRECK SUNDAY NIGHT

Last Sunday night as Lee Carter of Hammon and Dorothy Walker of this city, were taking Emma Jean Ingram home from church, the driver missed a bridge about 2 miles northeast of town, and the car went into a ditch. The automobile was completely wrecked but the occupants escaped with only a few scratches and bruises.

Miss Dorothy, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred T. Walker was married to Monroe Adams of Leedey, last Saturday at Arapaho.

They left Sunday on a short wedding trip.

The bride has lived here all of her life and is a graduate of Butler high school.

The groom is a stranger to the people of this community.

The Herald with their friends wish them a happy and prosperous married life.

Dorothy Myrtle Adams, 82, died Sunday, April 28, 2002.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams moved to Guymon from Tyrone in 1994. She was an active member of No Man's Land Senior Citizen's Dance Club.

Survivors include three children, Eddie Lane Adams of Henderson, Nev., and Donaven Eugene Adams and Marketta Sue Kidwell, both of Guymon; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the Arthritis Foundation, which can be sent to the funeral home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
