William F. and Lena Henke Family

William Freidrich Henke was the son of Wilhelm and Maria (Feischen) Henke. He was born on July 31, 1883 in Cook County, Illinois. At the age of three he came to Oliver County, North Dakota with his parents. They homesteaded on a farm three and a half miles south of Hannover. He received his education at Hannover.
He married Lena Kemmesat on October 20, 1909. Lena was the daughter of Carl and Anna (Kalweit) Kemmesat. William F. Henke took over the family farm after his father died.
William F. and Lena had nine children;
William C., Martha, Helmuth, Christ, John, Margaret, Dick, Albert, and Erna.
Lena died on August 1, 1967 and William F. died on July 25, 1969.
