Suggested edit: Mrs. Sivert (Ragna) Sandness passed away Friday, October 10 at a hospital in Lisbon after an illness of about a week.

Funeral services were held from High Prairie Lutheran Church at Benson Corners Tuesday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. E. J. Raaum in charge. Four of her grandchildren sang at the service: Mrs. Raymond Lere, Mrs. Lloyd Carlson, Sig T. Sandness, and Claire Sandness. Mrs. Sig T. Sandness was at the organ.
Pallbearers were Phili Lere, Raymond Lere, Ray Sandness, Vernon Sandness, Richard Sandness, Maurice Oien. Burial was made in High Prairie Church cemetery. Arrangements were by the Groth Funeral Home of LaMoure.

Mrs. Sandness was born to Mr. and Mrs. Arne Skaar July 7, 1882 in Sondmor, Norway. She married Sivert Sandness in Gladstone Township, LaMoure County. her husband passed away in September of 1945.
Children who survive are: Albert J. Sandness of Fargo; Jeffrey Sandness of LaMoure; Arnold Sandness of Valley City; Olaf Sandness of Marion; Ralph Sandness of Pleasant Plains, Illinois; Mrs. Peder (Agnes) Lere of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Aarseth of Forman, N. Dak.

Three sons preceded her in death. She also has 32 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She came to LaMoure Ccounty since 1893 until 1950. The family farmed in Pearl Lake Township from 1893 until 1929 when they retired and moved to LaMoure. She then made her home with her daughter Mrs. Aarseth from 1929 in LaMoure until 1950 when they moved to Valley City. She lived in Valley City with the Aarseth's until 1953 when they moved to Forman, where she lived until her death. She was a member of High Prairie Lutheran Church.
