She was born Sept. 6,1915, at Alamota,
the daughter of Edward William and Minnie
Ella Smith Walter. A lifetime resident of
Lane County, she was a 1937 graduate of
Dighton High School and a homemaker.
She was a member of First Christian Church,
Dighton, and Christian Women's Fellowship.
On Sept. 5,1937, she married Charles M.
Allphin at Dighton. He died Oct. 11,1992.
Survivors include: a son, Cart, Pueblo,
Colo.; a daughter, Maxine Ringleman,
Cimarron; a brother, Charles Walter, Garden
City; four grandchildren; and
step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Friday at First Christian Church, Dighton,
with the Revs. Mike and Kerry Grogan
presiding. Burial will be in Dighton
Memorial Cemetery, Memorial may be sent
to the church or to JOY Center, both
