T.V. McClanahan, 24, son of W.J. and L.A. McClanahan to Josephine Brendle, 19, daughter of George W & Pattie Brendle on April 10, 1904. Performed by Warren E Barker, Justice of the Peace, at George W Brendle's home on Alarka. H.M. Ditmore, M.M. Barker, G.C. Buckner, witnesses.

Ten children would be born to this union: Wesley, Alice, Okie, Rosie, Jackson, Mary, James, Ernest, Nathaniel and George. His wife would die while giving birth to George in 1923.

It wasn't until the 1930s that Thomas would begin using the Smith surname; a name that was never legally changed. His rightful birth name was Thomas Vance McClanahan.

He was 77-years of age.
