Marcella Marcy Zima was born June 28, 1927 in Brainard, NE to John and Mary (Horacek) Svoboda. She grew up on the family farm outside of Brainard where she attended country schools. Marcy married Dallas Abbott on May 23, 1942 in Omaha. They moved to Washington where Marcy worked in a military defense plant while Dallas was in the service. They moved to York, NE after the war where Marcy worked as a cook at the Y Motel. In 1954 they moved to Wichita where she worked as a cook for the public school system. In 1965 they moved to North Bend until moving to Columbus in 1967. Following her husbands death in 1979, Marcy married Emil Zima in 1984. They lived in Schuyler until Emils passing in 2003 when she moved to Meridian Gardens in Columbus.
Marcys hobbies included fishing, playing cards, baking, ceramics, quilting, and listening to music.
She is survived by:
