Charles Leon Abbe, 79, passed away March 11, 2013 in Bethany, OK. He was born April 29, 1933 in Walnut Bend, TX to Ralph and Gladys (Foster) Abbe. He has been a resident in Yukon since 1978 moving from Amarillo, TX. Leon was a loving man full of life. His family was precious and priceless to him. He was loved by many and respected by many more. All his friends were near and dear and most were like family. Leon was a dedicated worker. He was on oilfield salesman for Baker Hughes for 38 years. He was loved and respected by all his co-workers and those he came in contact with. He enjoyed OU football, OKC Thunder Basketball and fishing with David on their boat. He also enjoyed Tuesday morning bible study. He was a member of Yukon Church where he served as a trustee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons; Derrick and David Abbe; daughter Jerrie Abbe Connell; grandchild Casey Abbe and Brothers Lee, Don and Ronnie Abbe.
Survivors include his wife Peggy of the home, brothers Gary Abbe and wife Ranee of Sherman, TX, Johnny Abbe and wife Susan of Rowlett, TX; sister Peggy Byrom Houlett and husband Jim of Whitesboro, TX; grandchildren Brandy, Natalie, Nicole, Courtney, Ashley and 11 great grandchildren; sisters–in-law and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by all of those that loved him.
