Mrs. Emma Abel died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Woodcox, living two and one-half miles west of Auburn, Saturday morning at 11 o'clock following a brief illness of one week from pneumonia. She was aged sixty-eight years old.
She was born January 30th, 1854, and has been a resident of DeKalb county all of her life. She was a member of the St. Joe chapter, Daughters of Rebekah, also a member of the Christian church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Woodcox, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the St. Joe Christian church. Rev A. C. Shaw of Auburn, will officiate.
