Born April 24, 1929, in the Live Oak section of Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Thompson Cantey.
She received her formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County. In her youth, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Mount Zero Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health failed.
Survivors are her husband, Henry Abraham of the home; a son, Terry Abraham of the home; three brothers, Willie L. Cantey of Bishopville, Robert (Elizabeth) Cantey of Alcolu and Melvin (Carol) Cantey of Latta; two sisters, Josephine Brown of Bradenton, Fla., and Louise Ellerbee of Sumter; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Cypress Fork AME Church, 5994 Brewington Road, Alcolu, with the Rev. Leroy Green, pastor, officiating.
Burial: Cypress Fork AME Church Cemetery.
