Grampa Oscar Matlock Floyd
in fromt yard of Floyd Homestead
- He built this house in 1905 - he carried the wood from Nacogdoches by mule and wagon. Cypress Wood. Took him 8 mos. to get the lumber back to the homestead to build.

After the Fire #DallasPioneerFamily1846 see the hashtag on Google. House burned July25, 2017 - Built by Oscar M. Floyd 1905. Was occupied by his granddaughter - My Mother - Patsy Floy Dodd and my Daddy - James A. Dodd at the time of the fire.
