WEST POINT Clois E. Adams, 64, died Sunday, March 28, 1999, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Nov. 23, 1934, in West Point to Cliff C. and Clara Torrence Adams. He was an accountant for Cliett Auto Parts for 30 years and a purchasing agent for B&W for six years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher in the youth department for many years. He was a volunteer at the Clay County Medical Center and a former board member of the Clay County Association for Retarded Children.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Myers officiating and the Rev. Martin Steelman assisting. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Nowell-Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Smith Adams of West Point; two sons, Jason E. Adams of Batesville and Quentin E. Adams of Brandon; three sisters, Louise Maharrey of West Point, Hazel Simmons of Nesbit and Judy Bailey of Forest; three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Turnipseed, Paul McCary, George Pearson, James Camp, Auvergne Smith and James Flippen.

Honorary pallbearers will be his friends at Calvary Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 450 McCord St., West Point, Miss. 39773.
