Frances Abraham
(March 17, 1925 - June 22, 2013)

Mrs. Frances Margaret Young Abraham, age 88, of Griffin, passed away June 22, 2013. She was born in Dallas, TX to the late Arnold Preston Young Sr. and Ola Amber Reaves Young.
Mrs. Abraham resided in Griffin in the early 1980s, where her profession was nursing. She worked at Griffin Spalding County Hospital, and at a nursing facility, and did private duty nursing as well. Her career spanned over 30 years, and took her to various locations. She returned to Griffin in 2004.
Among the things that she enjoyed were big band music, dancing, crafts, and collecting figurines. She loved attending sporting events her grandchildren participated in, especially baseball.
Mrs. Abraham was Catholic and reaffirmed her religion in 1984. She made a solemn profession of faith in the Roman Catholic Church and was admitted to the Sacraments and Commission of the Roman Catholic Church on August 21, 1984.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Abraham; brother and sister-in-law, Arnold Preston Young, Jr. and Charlene; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy Lea and E.J. Nations; brother, Thomas Ollie Young; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy Ann and William "Rusty" Hughes, and son, Dale Preston Graves.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, June 29th, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Deacon Ken Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family beginning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Moody-Daniel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
