Cassie and her sister Polly had unusually long names. I had been told that as girls they renamed themselves to include all these names: Nancy Katherine Rebecca Jane Abbott (Cassie) and her sister, Mary Malinda Alberta Birdsong Abbott (Polly), married cousins (Needham Andrew Jackson Benefield and Stephen Jackson Benefield).
