He is survived by two brothers and their wives, and four sisters and husbands. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph F. Abadie, Sr., and Mona Abadie; his brother, Lloyd Abadie, his sister, Therese LaFleur and brother-in-law, Stanley Suski.
The family extends their thanks to the staff and residents of the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve, Louisiana and to the staff of Hospice in His Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard, LA. Burial in the church cemetery. ROSE LYNN FUNERAL SERVICES, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA, is in charge of the arrangements.
