Lavon Clara Webbert, of Norfolk, Nebraska, was born on December 27, 2013, in Stuart, Nebraska, the daughter of Clem F. and Leona S. (Ottele) Ackermann.

Lavon attended school in Stuart, Nebraska before graduating in 1954 from St. Mary's Academy, O'Neill, Nebraska. She lived in Wichita, Kansas, Fitchburg and West Townsend, Massachusetts, twice in Salt Lake City, Utah, three years in Germany and various towns in Nebraska. She had been employed at Gibson's in Norfolk, Nebraska, Jenkins Music Co in Wichita, Kansas and F.W. Woolworth in Norfolk, Nebraska. Her last employment was at the Credit Bureau Services, Norfolk, Nebraska for 38 plus years, from 1968 to 2006.

Lavon was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, Norfolk, Nebraska. She was involved in the Chamber of Commerce Women's Division from 1972. She was active in the United Way and served as co-chairman since 1983. She belonged to Credit Women International for many years. Lavon volunteered as a clerk at the voting poll from 2010 to 2013 also served as a receptionist at the Chamber during the same time frame.
She was an avid reader and loved to travel—15 countries, 34 states including Hawaii.

Lavon enjoyed antiques, craft shows, scrapbooks, jig saw puzzles and working in her flower garden and yard. She liked collecting things especially angels. Lavon loved working genealogy gathering updates and sharing the information with her large extended family as her mother was one of 18 children.

Lavon is survived by: daughter, Robin Jones of Norfolk, Nebraska; son and his wife, William "Bill", Jr and Denise Webbert, of Norfolk, Nebraska; grandsons, Dylan and Ryan Webbert and a host of family and friends.

Lavon was preceded in death by: infant son; grandsons, William E. Webbert, III, and Josh Baller; parents and brother, Duane Ackermann.

Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Norfolk, Nebraska.
