Mrs. Mahala Adams 60, wife of Ben Adams of East Point, died in a local hospital at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, March 11,1962 after an illness of five years. The daughter of the late Elcanah and Sarah Blair Webb, she was born in Texas April 12, 1901, and had resided at East Point for the past twenty years. She was a member of the East Point Church of Christ. Surviving besides her husband are six sons, Thomas C. of Lexington; Rollie E., Springfield, OH, James Lee, Pisgah Forest, NC, Ronnie J., Dayton, OH, John D., Skokie, IL, Harry B. East Point; three daughters, Mrs. Ocie Myrtle Wilder, Charleston, WV, Mrs. Elsie Conley, Springfield, OH, Mrs. Pauline VanHoose, Dayton, OH, two brothers, Henry Webb, Middletown, OH, Ed Webb, West Van Lear, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Magaw, OH; Mrs. Susie Blair, Collista. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the East Point Church of Christ with Rev. S. C. Honeycutt as officiating minister. Burial was in the Webb family cemetery at Hager Hill.
