John D. Adams, 44, died Wednesday, May 23,1979 in Hines V.A. Hospital, Hines, IL. Born June 13, 1934, in Johnson County, he was the son of Ben and Mahala Webb Adams. Mr. Adams had been a resident of Chicago, IL for 29 years. He was employed as a printer and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are two sons, John Adams and Jeffery Adams, California, four brothers, Romie Adams and Harry B. Adams both of East Point, Rollie Adams, Springfield, OH, and James Adams, Brevard, NC and three sisters, Ocie Wilder, Greenville, Pauline VanHoose, Dayton and Elsie Conley, Springfield. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 26, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Castle officiating. Burial was in Webb Family Cemetery, Lick Fork, with Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, May 30, 1979
