Memorial services for Ella B. Aageson, who died Feb. 28, 1979 in Tacoma, Wash., will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 2 in Tacoma. Friends and relatives will meet at the First Lutheran church in Havre on Monday, March 5, at 1:45 prior to leaving for the Highland cemetery where graveside services will be held at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Aageson was born Sept. 2, 1893, to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sampson in Wild Rice, N. D. On March 25, 1914, she married Aasmund R. Augeson in Havre. He survives her at the family home in Tacoma. Other survivors include Arvin Aageson of Gildford, Eugene Aageson of Havre, Mrs. Robert (Lorraine) Gorham of Brea, Calif.; and Mrs. Dr. James (Nan) Nockleburg of Tacoma, Wash., eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Thea Sampson of Salem, Ore. One son, Wallace, preceded her in death in 1924.
The Aagesons homesteaded north of Gildford in 1914. In 1945 they moved to Havre and in 1951 they moved to Seattle, and then to Tacoma in 1975. Mrs. Aageson has been in ill health for the past month.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Havre, was active in the Lutheran Ladies Guild here and also in the Grey Ladies at Northern Montana Hospital. A memorial has been established to the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd.
