Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Genthner, 59, died Monday in a Rockland hospital after a long illness. She was born in Waldoboro, July 23, 1902, daughter of Newell H. and Nettie Hussey Genthner. She was a member of the Winslow's Mills Methodist Church, Ladies Aid Society, wiwurna Chapter OES, and the Progressive Grange of Winslow's Mills. Besides her husband, Raymond she is survived by a son, Chester of Pittston; a daughter Mrs. Virginia Abbotoni of Waldoboro; two brothers, Roland A. Genthner, and Carroll Genthner, both of Waldoboro; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Winslow's Mills Methodist Church. The Rev. David Glusker and the Rev. Vernon Carver officiated. Interment was in Shuman Cemetery.
