WALDOBORO - Laura Elizabeth Genthner, 59, died Monday at a Rockland hospital following a long illness. Born at Waldoboro July 23, 1902, daughter of Newell H. and Nettie (Hussey) Genthner, she lived all her life in Waldoboro. She was a member of the Winslow Mills Methodist Church and Ladies Aid Society at Winslow Mills, a member of Wivuma Chapter, OES, Waldoboro, and a member of the Progressive Grange at Winslow Mills. Survivors include her husband, Raymond A. Genthner of Waldoboro; one son, Chester H. Genthner of Pittston, one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Abbotoni of Waldoboro; two brothers, Ronald A. and Carroll both of Waldoboro; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Winslow Mills Methodist Church with the Rev. David Glusker officiating. Interment will be in Shuman Cemetery, Waldoboro.

Besides her husband, Raymond she is survived by a son, Chester of Pittston; a daughter Mrs. Virginia Abbotoni of Waldoboro; two brothers, Roland A. Genthner, and Carroll Genthner, both of Waldoboro; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Winslow's Mills Methodist Church. The Rev. David Glusker and the Rev. Vernon Carver officiated. Interment was in Shuman Cemetery.
