Doris Brown Abbott, 74, of Tifton died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Tift Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Berrien County. Rev. M Lindsey will officiate with burial to follow in Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Abbott was born on April 27, 1935 in Sparks and was the daughter of Manning S. Brown and Pinkie Sweat Brown, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Allen Abbott; and four brothers. She was a homemaker and a member of Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Berrien County.
