Olean Link Vest, 72, Pilot, Va., went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Riner, Va. She was a special church worker and neighbor of Pilot, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Breathard Vest, Jr.; parents, Ted and Ida Link; brother, Clinton Link; and sister, Lois Adkins; brothers-in-law, Howard Lutz, Wilmer Poff, Raymond King, Otha Dean Vest, and Clinton Vest. Survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Beulah Lutz, Susie Poff, Lucell and Edgar Linkous Jr., Eddie Adkins; six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wilford and Erma J. Vest, Alvin and May Vest, Warren and Blondine Vest, Catherine Vest, Dolly Vest, Evelyn King; many special nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2003, at Gardner Funeral Home with Kelly Mitchem and Rev. Leon Alley officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and caregivers. Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
