Beulah Link Lutz, 85, of Ferrum, Va., passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010, with all three of her daughters with her. She was born on January 15, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Lutz; one grandchild, Robin Kay Allen; and one great-grandchild Tyler Jay Hawley. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Clinton Link; and three sisters, Olean Vest, Lois Adkins and Susie Poff. Beulah is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Carol Balderston, of Vinton, Shirley and Jimmy Allen, of Ferrum, and Glenna and Curtis Young, also of Ferrum; six grandchildren and their families, David Hawley and wife, Melissa, Lisa Wilson and husband, Dana, Lee Hodges and friend, Clayton, Ricky Hodges and wife, Deborah, Tammy Mullins and husband, Carl, Cindy Scott and husband, Hank; 11 greatgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Lucell Linkous and her family, of Riner; two special friends, Gladys Smith and Ruby Whorley, both of Ferrum; and many nieces and nephews. Beulah was a member of Evangelistic House of Prayer in Ferrum. A lifelong gardener, Beulah was always planting something. Although quiet herself, she dearly loved sitting around and listening to her family talk. Special thanks to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County and all of the wonderful friends and neighbors who visited and brought her things during her long illness. Funeral Services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, with the Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Monday, December 27, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, Va. 540-483-5533.
