Funeral Services for Knut A. Mostrom, 68, father of Louie Mostrom, treasurer of Worth county, who died late Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. R. Trenda, in Northwood, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Norwegian Lutheran church, Northwood. Burial will be made at Kensett.
Mr. Mostrom had been in poor health following a severe illness experienced three years ago which was followed by a stroke suffered about one year later. He was born November 16, 1864, near Bergen, Norway. In 1882 he came to America, coming directly to Northwood and he had been a resident of this vicinity since Mrs. Mostrom preceded him in death Sept. 27, 1907. Mr. Mostrom retired from farm about six years ago.
Surviving children are Louie and Clarence Mostrom, Mrs. A.R. Trenda and Mrs. Joseph Aase, all of Northwood; Arthur Mostrom, Lake Mills; Mrs. O. T. Rafdal and Clifford Mostrom, Medford Minn; Mrs. Arthur Munger, Milwaukee and Mrs. Ed Anderson, near Stockholm, Sweden. There are 23 grandchildren living. Four brothers, Nels and Andrew Mostrom, Northwood; John and Knut Mostrom, Lake Wilson Minn. and three sisters all living near Bergen, Norway, also survive.
