Henry Orville Dotson, 77, of Clement Township, died Thursday, Oct. 24, at Hurley Hospital, Flint, following a two-months illness.
Born April 18, 1891, in Byrne, Ind., he had lived in Gladwin and Ogemaw Counties for 40 years. He was a retired farmer, Mr. Dotson and the former Anna Grabowski were married Nov. 18, 1914, in Saginaw.
Survivors are his wife, Anna; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Abbe (Henrietta) of Ithaca, and Miss Katherine Dotson of South Lyons; six sons, Jesse J. of Gladwin, Ernest of Quincy, Wayne of South Lyons, Edward of Battle Creek, Harry of Marion, and Floyd of Fenton; two brothers, Frederick of Bristol and James of Florida; one sister, Mrs. Edna Ballard of Vanderbilt; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Stauffer officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 10-30/1968
