Mr. Joseph "Joe" Lowe, age 67 of Conyers, a retired pipe fitter with Local Union 72, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lowe, Conyers; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph M. Malone, Jacksonville, FL, Carey and Stephanie Lowe, Covington, Christopher J. and Marlene Malone, Jacksonville, FL; daughters and sons-in-law, Carla JoAnn and John Cooper, Monticello, Jennifer Loraine and Jon Prentiss, Conyers; sisters, Joyce Sinyard, Covington, Harriette and Hugh Housworth, Monticello; 7 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lowe was employed with Local Union 72 for 47 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He fished a lot of local tournaments for bass and trout. Joe loved his family. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Smyrna Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jim Martin officiating; interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
