Charles Lamar Lowe (Charlie), age 70, of Lithonia, died on Saturday, February 7, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Horis A. Ward's Rockdale Chapel at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Nelson Goddard officiating. Interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lithonia. Born on March 10, 1938, and lifelong resident of Lithonia, Mr. Lowe owned Southeast Dekalb Plumbing from 1966-1977 and was a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #72, since 1988. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sybil Thomas Lowe of Lithonia, sons, Chris (Debbie) Lowe of Stockbridge, David (Kim) Lowe of McDonough, Mickey (Susan) Lowe of Grayson; daughters, Gail (Billy) Wiegmann of Conyers, Lisa (Mike) Mitchell of Covington; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom and Joe Lowe; sisters, Lib Young, Runelle Jackson, Joyce Sinyard, Harriette Housworth and several nieces & nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Rubye Lowe, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
