Linda Aaron was born Jan. 6, 1960, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Audrey Mitchell James and the late Alonza Aaron.

She moved to New Jersey and lived with her mother, Audrey, and stepfather, the late Henry James. Linda was a member of St. Stephen AME Zion Church in Asbury Park, N.J.

She attended Neptune Township Elementary School and graduated from Neptune Senior High School. She continued her education at the New Jersey Institute of Dental Technology as a dental hygienist assistant. In her later years, Linda moved to Columbia, where she became a member of St. Phillip RMUE Church, Pinewood.

Linda departed this earthly life on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Palmetto Health Richland hospital, Columbia.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her fiance', Richard Canty; her beloved mother, Audrey M. James of Pinewood; a brother, Richard (Sharon) James of Neptune, N.J.; two sisters, Diane English of Columbia and Cheryl Williams of Neptune; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services: St. Phillip RMUE Church, Pinewood, with the Rev. Daniel Green, pastor, officiating.

Final resting place: St. Phillip RMUE Church Cemetery.
