Miguel is survived by his wife, Gina, a son, Miguel IV and his wife, Jennifer and three daughters and a son-in-law, Cecilia and Anthony Hallett, Elissa Blair and Josie Abarca.
Miguel was born to Miguel and Ramona Abarca, in Tijuana, Mexico on October 25, 1954.
His siblings include his brothers, Manuel, Jesús and David, as well as his sisters, Juanita Ruvalcaba, Socorro Ochoa, Ramona García and Sandra Villanueva and finally María Luisa Byrd who preceded him in death.
Miguel married and forged a life with Gina Kendall on January 26, 1973. Miguel was a kind husband and devoted father who provided for his family during the best and worst of times for over 40 years. In life, Miguel was a "Jack of All Trades." Miguel was a dairyman, a contractor, a plumber, a cowboy, a comedian and most importantly, a friend to all. Miguel was a genuine and kind person who was always willing to give help to those in need. If money was needed, Miguel would provide what he could, if it was a tool he would loan it, if it was labor he would offer it, if it was much needed conversation he would contribute beer and an ear to the cause. Simply put, Miguel loved people, and loved to be surrounded by them. This is his legacy and with faith, hope, and love, it will be carried on to his grandchildren, Miguel V, Monica, Jeremy, Isabel, Steven, Stephanie, Mika, Daniel, Tristan, Jacob, Aiden, Jonathan and Adrian who are the next generation and all of whom will affectionately remember their "Grandpa".
While Miguel Abarca Jr. was passing, he was surrounded in the warmth and love of his family.
