Mrs. Addie Jane Kirby, 69, died at 4 AM Monday, Oct. 19, 1981, at Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been hospitalized for 1 1/2 months, and in ill health for two years. Born and reared near Glasgow, KY, she had lived in Lafayette since 1974. She was married in 1962, in Gallatin, TN, to Leland A. Kirby--he is a retired construction worker. Mrs. Kirby attended Wesleyan Church

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Turner of Indianapolis and Gladys (Mrs. Clarence) Bowles of Glasgow; a son, Gary Abner of Glasgow; two sisters, Lucy (Mrs. Ray) Hammer and Mrs. Nina Turner, both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Fowler Abner of Brooksville and Glen Abner of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Service Oct. 21, Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Joseph Park officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
