Glen Albert Abner, 75, died at 6:20 PM Saturday, March 16, 1996, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, where he had been a patient since March 5. He was born Dec. 22, 1920, at Glasgow, KY, moving to Lafayette in 1950.
Mr. Abner served in the Army during World War II. He retired from the Aluminum Company of America, where he was a grinder operator, in 1972. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154.
Surviving are three daughters, Janet (Mrs. Charles) Houchens of Taylorsville, IN, Dottye Odle of Athens, TN, and Teresa Porter of Terre Haute, IN; a son, Gary Abner of Lawton, OK; a sister, Nina Turner of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
