Obituary
Laura Belle Jenkins Wright, age 99, of Kingston passed away Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022. She was a lifelong member of Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church where she has attended since birth. She loved her church and could be found there anytime the doors were open. Raised in the Poplar Springs Community, she was the last surviving sibling out of the 11 children of James and Stella Robinson Jenkins.

Laura Belle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Anyone who knew her called her Mamaw. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and the heartfelt hugs she gave to EVERY person she met. She was always on the go and would never turn down an adventure!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wright; parents, Jim and Stella Jenkins; sisters, Carrie Farmer, Lela Mathis, Maude Galyon, Hazel Guettner, Betty Abott, and Ruth Bohanon; brothers, Roy, Kenneth, Carl, and Virgil Jenkins; several nieces and nephews.

Laura Belle is survived by her son, David Wright; daughter and son-n-law, June and Wayne Evans; grandchildren: Dawn Click(Chris), Wes Evans(Jamey), Ben Evans (Andra); great-grandchildren: Gracie, Hunter, Amadea, Abriella, Waylon, and Wylie; special niece, Georgia Cooley, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 10th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. The body will lie in state on Friday, March 11th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Massengill officiating. The graveside service will immediately follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
