Macon, GA- Charles Adams departed this life February 22, 2013. A home going celebration will be held at the Adams Tabernacle CME Church on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:30 AM.
Charles Adams was an educator and entrepreneur. He was principal at the Bradley Wayside Elementary School in Jones County and retired as Assistant to the Superintendent of Jones County Public School System. He was also the owner operator of the Adams Lounge, a legendary entertainment venue, known for hosting some of the most prominent R&B and Soul performers of its time.
Charles leaves to mourn his loss a wife, Doris Hill Adams; two sons, Chador Adams (LaGail) and Daryl Knox (Cynthia); one daughter, Gilda Houser; two brothers, George Adams and Francis Adams (Alice); one sister, Verdell Pierce; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
