Dwayne Andersen age 92 of Seneca died March 9, 2014 at the Centennial Park Retirement Home in North Platte. Funeral services will be held Friday March 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain time at the Seneca Auditorium in Seneca, NE with Rev. Sunny Ridings officiating. Interment will be in the Seneca Cemetery. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of
the arrangements.

Dwayne Neils Andersen was born to Neils and Anna (Crawford) Andersen on July 2, 1921 at the ranch in the Jimtown community six and one half miles north of Seneca. He was the oldest of three children. Helen and Dale being younger. He attended the Jimtown school through the eighth grade then the family moved to the Seneca place on the east side of First lake. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1939. His folks started a dairy so he stayed at home to help them except in the summer when he worked out on ranches helping hay. Dwayne was called to the Army in September 1942 during World War II. He served in the states until 1945 and was then sent to Germany and spent a year during the occupation. He was discharged from the Army in March 1946. Dwayne spent his life ranching. He married Nadene Anspach on October 22, 1947. They moved to the place they are now living on in 1948. Dwayne spent his life ranching and he was a good cattleman. Dwayne and Nadene had a family of five boys. Lowell, Allen, Dean, Randy and Darrell. Allen and Dean being twins. Dwayne did custom baling for others for several years in the summer. They milked quite a few cows for many years as most of the neighbors did to keep going. He worked at the Thedford Sale Barn on Tuesdays for several years. He was a member of the American Legion in Thedford and the VFW in Seneca. He was a true patriot, He never missed helping with the military part on Memorial Day and helped with many military funerals. He was a member of the Seneca United Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Lowell and grandson Bernie, his sister Helen and her husband Lloyd Johnson, a brother Dale and wife Ruth and Nadene's parents Arnold and Louise Anspach. He leaves to mourn his wife Nadene, sons Allen (Diane) of Thedford, Dean (Donna Reynolds) of Mullen, Randy (Peg) of Thedford and Darrell (Patty) of Halsey. Four grandsons Kevin (Kim), Chad (Marcy), Travis (Sheri) and Riley. Three granddaughters Shelly Andersen, Terri Sharp and Marci Drumheller. Nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. A neice Pam (Allen) Gall and nephew Larry (Muffy) Johnson and numerous other relatives and friends. Dwayne was a good husband and father and a good neighbor.
